The 2000 Trilogy (an 8,500-case blend of 44% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Malbec) is a strong effort for the vintage. It offers a deep ruby color as well as a sweet bouquet of white flowers, red and black currants, and spicy new oak, a sweet attack, a delicate style, fine balance, and a reasonably long finish. It will not whack tasters over the head, but there is beautiful fruit and harmony. (RP)
