This whiskey more than two years ago when interviewed Scissortail Distillery owner Garrett Janko and stated that it would be a blue corn whiskey, but the small amount of info able to find does not confirm that. Doom’s is a blend of two whiskeys, a 80% rye, 20% barley whiskey aged for 26 months in standard 53-gallon American white oak barrels which is then blended 50/50 with another Rye whiskey.

Doom’s American Blended Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Warm and inviting bourbon spice. Caramel with some honey and graham cracker. Hints of corn, vanilla, and a touch of tropical fruit and a very light rye.

Palate: Lot of warm caramel, vanilla, and delightful bourbon spice. Corn, honey, rye, and malt sit side by side with some light orchid fruit flavors.

Finish: Caramel and sweet toffee fading to soft oak and corn.
