Distillery Information
Mestizo Mezcal is an ancient spirit that is unique because of its distinctive, complex and aromatic flavors. Mezcal was produced centuries ago by the Zapotec tribe in Mexico, and was considered to be a gift from the goddess Mayahuel. In the 16th century, the Spanish introduced a specialized European distillation process to the Zapotec tribe that was used to improve the ancient beverage. The Mestizo Distillery has been perfecting this process over-time using their own preferred techniques and unique ingredient combinations.
