The NV Extra-Brut Mareuil-sur-Aÿ Sous Le Mont (2014) is once again impressive, as it has been the last few years. A Pinot of drive and tension, the Mareuil offers terrific brilliance in aromatics that at times recall Chardonnay. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, sage, cedar, dried flowers and licorice lend notable complexity throughout. The Mareuil really sizzles with tension and energy. Disgorged: January 21, 2021.
